Terms of Service & Damage Policy

T&J Transport

The following Terms of Service and Damage Policy are provided for informational purposes so customers understand how T&J Transport operates and what risks are associated with towing, recovery, and vehicle transportation services.

Vehicle Transportation Risks

Vehicle towing, recovery, and transport inherently involve risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Cosmetic, mechanical, or structural damage

  • Pre-existing damage becoming more noticeable

  • Damage related to vehicle condition, age, or modifications

  • Environmental or location-related hazards

  • Accidents or incidents during recovery or transport

Certain recoveries require specialized methods based on the vehicle’s location, condition, or accessibility. These methods may increase the likelihood of damage.

No Refund Policy

All services provided by T&J Transport are non-refundable once dispatched, en route, or performed.

Refunds will not be issued for, including but not limited to:

  • Customer cancellation after dispatch

  • Inability to complete service due to vehicle condition, access limitations, or environmental factors

  • Changes in customer circumstances or decisions

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, law enforcement, or site conditions

  • Damage that occurs as a result of necessary recovery or towing methods

Charges reflect the availability of equipment, personnel, time, and operational costs associated with dispatch and service readiness, regardless of whether transport is completed.

Damage Disclaimer

T&J Transport is not responsible for damage that may occur during towing, recovery, loading, transport, or unloading when such damage results from:

  • The vehicle’s condition or modifications

  • Low clearance, locked wheels, suspension issues, or mechanical failures

  • The environment or recovery location

  • Instructions provided by the vehicle owner or authorized agent

  • Conditions beyond T&J Transport’s reasonable control

Customers are encouraged to disclose any known mechanical issues, modifications, or vulnerabilities prior to service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Oregon law, T&J Transport limits its liability for claims arising out of vehicle transportation services. T&J Transport shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss of use, diminished value, or personal property left in the vehicle

  • Damage caused by pre-existing conditions or unavoidable recovery methods

No Guarantee of Damage-Free Transport

While T&J Transport uses reasonable care and professional equipment, damage-free transport cannot be guaranteed, especially in recovery or non-standard towing situations.

Insurance & Claims

T&J Transport maintains appropriate insurance coverage as required by law. Any concerns regarding potential damage should be reported promptly after service completion so they may be reviewed in accordance with applicable insurance and operational procedures.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Removing personal belongings from the vehicle

  • Disclosing known vehicle issues or modifications

  • Ensuring they have authority to request services

T&J Transport is not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle.

Governing Law

These terms and policies are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
